Walk+Bike at Carlsbad Farmers' Market

Great outreach at the State Street Farmers' Market in Carlsbad Village yesterday. We met many interested residents and also informed tourists that were very receptive to all the progress being made in Carlsbad towards a greater walkable/bikeable community. We talked about the benefits of walking and biking and shared trail maps. We also discussed the upcoming Taco Tuesday Ride(June 30th), many walks, and the Walk+Bike About on July 26th.

We also handed out bike lights to Carlsbad residents as well, stressing visibility while biking. Thanks to NiteRider, located here in San Diego, for partnering with us.

Walk + Bike is a partnership led by the City of Carlsbad, Circulate San Diego and the San Diego County Bicycle Coalition to promote walking and biking around Carlsbad, with a special focus on the downtown Village and surrounding areas. The 12-month campaign is funded by a grant from the San Diego Association of Governments and includes events, outreach to schools, business promotions and other activities to get more people walking and biking instead of driving on short trips around town. Summer Solstice Ride & Mixer

It was a wonderful bike ride and great opportunity for the staff and board members to meet and connect with members! Thank you to all that support us through memberships and donations. Without members, we could not move forward to help make San Diego County better for people that bike. Thanks also to Mission Brewery for hosting!
