The following op-ed written by the Coalition's Executive
Director Andy Hanshaw calls for bike infrastructure that protects
the environment and points to support for Mayor Faulconer and the City
Council's Climate Action Plan goals. It
calls for action to fulfill already-funded bike projects included in the
Regional Bike Plan and a plan to "Resurface/Repurpose" for changing
our streets to safely accomodate biking and walking while we repair them under
the Mayor's plan.
The time is now,
and we are ready. If you care about people on bicycles and if you
care about a safer and healthier San Diego, we need you on our team. Our voice needs to be stronger, and our
call a little louder.
